Selecting the Correct Workflow
Starting a New Template from Scratch
When asked ‘Would you like to use an existing configuration template?’, selecting the ‘No, create from scratch’ option will walk you through the entire template creation process without pre-filling anything. Template Type and Audience Selection are the first two questions, as they provide the system with context around age and other data points that applicants will enter as they begin building their profile.
Who is the target audience for this template?
Adult → This will apply only to individuals over 24 who are not currently enrolled in high school.
Youth → This will apply only to individuals who are still enrolled in high school as long as they are not over the age of 24.
All → This template applies to all individuals making profiles in the Hiring Hub, regardless of age or high school enrollment.
What type of template would you like to create?
Apprenticeship
Pre-Apprenticeship (COMING SOON)
Depending on the audience target type that you select, you will be presented with the following questions.
Youth → Who will be approving these profiles?
High School/District Counselor
Education Relationships Manager
Specified User → This option will prompt you to choose a specific individual who is in the system.
N/A - Auto Approve
Adult → What account should applicants be put under?
Youth applicants are generally associated with their high school until they are hired into their work-based learning program. The system does not make the same assumption about adult applicants, so you will be asked to designate which account they should be associated with until they are hired for a work-based learning opportunity.
These individuals will be auto-approved by the system.
Use a Previous Template as an Outline
When asked ‘Would you like to use an existing configuration template?’, selecting the ‘Yes’ option will provide you with the opportunity to choose an existing template that is associated with your Program State from a list. Choosing this option will pre-fill the majority of the template for you, but you will still have the opportunity to verify your choices.
Effective Dates
Hiring Cycke Template Name → The system will auto-generate a recommended name but staff can make adjustments as needed.
Effective Start Date → Dictates when applicants entering the system will fill out profiles with these requirements
Effective End Date → Dictates when the template will no longer be active for applicants.
What is the minimum age of applicants for a profile to be created? → Applicable only for Youth Applicants.
